Liliana Esthela Segovia Arredondo is a Mexican baseball and softball professional  athlete whose career reflects technical skill, discipline, and a strong commitment to player development. Raised in Tijuana, she competed for many years in high-level softball before transitioning to baseball at age twenty-four. With limited women’s opportunities in her region, she trained with men’s teams, using that environment to refine her ability as a catcher and first baseman.

Segovia has been a member of the Mexican women’s national baseball program since 2019 and became the first Mexican woman to hit a home run in official women’s baseball competition, a landmark moment for the sport in her country. She has represented Mexico internationally through the World Baseball Softball Confederation and continues to be recognized for her defensive knowledge and in-game awareness.

Her profile expanded further when she was selected in the 2025 Women’s Professional Baseball League draft, signalling her progression into the highest levels of women’s professional baseball. This selection reflects her continued impact as both a player and a representative of Mexican women in the sport.

Segovia now serves as Back Catching Coach and Trainer with the Ontario Baseball Academy in Hamilton, Ontario. Drawing on her international experience and bilingual background, she emphasizes technical precision, structured player development, and the mental preparation required for competitive advancement.
