Coach Daniel
With strong roots in Cuba’s rich baseball tradition and more than a decade of international coaching experience, Daniel Hernández Cabrera brings world‑class expertise to the Ontario Baseball Academy.
A graduate in Physical Culture and Sport, Daniel began his career as a player in Cuba before an injury diverted him into elite training and method‑driven development roles in Mexico and Canada. He has coached in Mexico’s Campeche and Quintana Roo regions, leading youth programs and certified training workshops. In 2022, Daniel delivered a featured presentation at the 8ᵗʰ International “BIOINTEGRA” Convention in Cancún on the “Baseball Plus” training methodology, underscoring his commitment to combining sport‑science and baseball performance.
At the Ontario Baseball Academy, Daniel leads the International Player Development Program, working with serious athletes preparing for professional baseball careers. His approach emphasizes technical mastery, athletic conditioning, mental resilience and global readiness. Fluent in both Spanish and English, Daniel mentors players from diverse backgrounds and helps them navigate the pathway from academy training to professional competition.
Through his Cuban‑influenced coaching philosophy, he nurtures respect, competitiveness and excellence. His proven ability to train athletes who advance toward elite and professional levels has made him a key pillar in OBA’s mission: to deliver elite baseball training, international exposure, and holistic athlete development.
